New Releases for the Week of August 26th-September 1st, 2012

The old adage “good things come to those who wait” certainly applies to PS3 owners this week. With no less than four collections culled from triple-A franchises (along with a high-def adaptation of the first two Tony Hawk titles), this week’s new release list is swarming with salient memories of gaming recent past. In keeping with the retro-minded proclivity, developer Harmonix is returning to their roots, delivering Rock Band Blitz, a title that shirks those pervasive plastic instruments for a standard controller- recalling the developer’s first two efforts, Frequency and Amplitude. (3DS, Damage Inc. Pacific Squadron WWII, God of War Collection, Madden 13, Nintendo DS, PC, PS Vita, PS3, PSP, Ratchet And Clank HD Collection, Wii, Xbox 360)

Ratchet & Clank Collection for me.

I've been hearing good things about Blitz. It's about time I try the music game one more time.

I do wish the song list was better. A bit too much emo for me.

Madden 13, if EA makes good on their promises to update the game more than once in a blue moon.

Guild Wars 2. That is all.

Best Buy is giving 50% off the Madden Strategy Guide, for what it's worth :/
