Remember Me bidding war proves new IP matters

Capcom had to fend off ‘high profile publishers’ to sign Remember Me, the firm told MCV. (Capcom, PS3, Remember Me, Xbox 360)

Exactly!!! This tried to make a similar impact on how Watch Dogs did at E3. Not really impressed with what i saw and won't be expecting much.

I haven't seen the footage so far but I will for sure. I guess Capcom are referring to either Ubisoft or Sony when they say "those companies that won". New IPs are the lifeline of gaming. As long as they keep working on the new IPs and stop milking old franchises, we the gamers will keep coming back with out money. The end result should be fantastic.

Resident Evil franchise is one of the biggest ones out there but I am least bothered or hyped about RE6. That is not to say that my opinion is all that matters, I am sure a number of gamers are eagerly waiting for it but I am not planning to purchase RE6. Instead, I am looking forward to buying Beyond: Two Souls and The Last of Us DAY ONE! And both are new IPs.

After watching the gamescon game play video I take a few things away from it.

Firstly it has a interesting concept and that's nice but it needs alot of work.

The animation is rather dodgy. The main character just looked clunky and wonky when she was doing anything exploring or running around. It wasn't a fluid look or feel that you get out of something like say Assassin's Creed. She would often times stop dead during a animation so a new one could start instead of having the animation blend into the next to keep a more fluid feel.

The acting was also pretty bad and I really hope it's a place holder because I couldn't help but laugh a few times at how poorly acted and unnaturally written many of the lines were.

The games ideas and concepts are pretty interesting but from what I have seen thus far it's not anything to get nearly as hyped for as Capcom and others are trying to make it seem.

Thank god Capcom got it and not some greedy publisher that will lock half the disc as DLC and attempt to milk the franchise to death.....oh wait.

This is my type of game, so I'll keep an eye on it.
Sony used to have this locked as an exclusive, right?

Sony was making the game, but last year it got cut along with others (Unknown as to what they were) and in cutting the project, Sony gave them the I.P and sent them on their way to find a new publisher.

If I am remembering correctly.

That sounds about right. From what I heard, anyway.

Sounded like Sony just kicked em to the curb. Didint sound like it was a highly sought after IP. Either way it looks amazing and im glad we get it finally.
