Peter Molyneux has said that his next game, Curiosity, will have to change its name - apparently due to a conflict with NASA's Mars-roving robot of the same name.
How are you going to copyright a name that is a commonly used term? NASA is being stingy, either they dont what molyneux's game to steal their popularity, or maybe they want to keep track of the news Curiosity gets on the website. I don't feel that NASA should have any authority over who names what.
"molyneux steal their popularity" Buwahahahahahaha xD Anyway it's not uncommon my friend got into a legal dispute with Oprah because he had a site named oxygen. Copyright infringement and what not. He lives half away around the world from the Us so he didn't want to prolong the fiasco so he gave it up. Hate Oprah...
Did she believe she wouldn't be able to breathe unless she took control of the site?
NASA isn't making him change the name. He decided to do this on his own. Source: the actual article.
thanks, I read it before they updated it.
How does NASA copyright a name that a 12 year old girl came up with. .....seems it's his choice...
