Kingdoms of Amalur: Lands of the Bloody Sock

Banana Fish of GoozerNation writes, "I’m always interested in a deal and Kingdoms of Amalur (KOA) was definitely that. With a North American release of February 2012 it’s been out for awhile. I enjoy a good fantasy romp and couldn’t pass this one up especially at the price. With a Best Buy Gamer’s club membership I got it for $10 (Xbox 360) after coupon new in July." (Kingdoms Of Amalur: Reckoning, PC, PS3, Xbox 360)

I was playing it and loved it but then I started dragons dogma and haunt looked back. Hopefully I can find time to get back into it.

One of my favourite games this gen. The combat alone makes it a must buy. That and the looting and the weapons and armour builds have kept me playing into my fourth character/playthrough.
It was a real disaster that befell 38 studios, especially as there was a KoAR 2 in the pipeline, I believe.

Hopefully some other Game company may pick up the license.

Be a shame to see it just be a one off.. I can only hope .. much like waiting for Shenmue 3...

Bought this a few weeks ago at best buy for 15 as well. Just been trying to platinum it today actually with no luck unfortunately, just got one more annoying trophy (a wink and a smile), but it's looking like I'm either going to have to start a new game and spend like 10 hours playing through the game, or bite the bullet on the dlc and hopefully be able to finish the persuasion attempts in there, so it's pretty much either, pay 10 bucks for an unguaranteed trophy, or like 8-10 hours doing grueling missions. Ugh, just ONE more trophy :'(

But even with that very annoying little situation, It's a pretty good game, and I would have liked to have seen a sequel. This game does a lot of things better than Skyrim.

I just wonder what the odds are of someone grabing the ip. Who would the deloper need to talk to, the state maybe? I hope some how some way someone ends up with the ip. EA could grab it and really help there public relations.
