Nintendo Has a Wii U Event Planned, But Will It Provide The Info We Want?

Despite all of the chances Nintendo has had to reveal the release date and pricing for its Wii U system, they've yet to do so. With a Wii U event set to take place on September 13th, will we finally be given the info we want, or will Nintendo dance around the topic again? (Nintendo, Reggie Fils-Aime, Wii U)

It better. It's crazy how after 2 conferences we still don't know a thing about the Nintendo Network outside of Miiverse.

(On a side-note, what the hell happened to my bubble count? I lost 2 of them and none of my comments have been down voted)

We'll get everything, but official specs. for the console. We'll have to wait closer to launch and for someone to crack it open.

This should finalize launch titles, prices (console, controllers, other accessories), and launch date.

I think you got enough bubbles to spare already and then some lol.

I look forward to getting some concrete details in regards to the specs, pricing and what will be included with the system.

Hopefully they do announce more details since they're releasing the Wii U in less than six months.

Also, I'd like to have more games announced (don't have to be launch games necessarily).

Wow...

Either Virgos have become extinct, or this is a direct side effect of too many anonymous rumors.

Nintendo said (a while ago) that they would release both WiiU price and date info in September.

Nintendo I think we waited long enough it be nice if they announce the specs and price on Sep 13 and stop leaving us clueless
Freakazoid2012  +   600d ago
Waiting on Specs? You'll be waiting til well after launch til some website takes the Wii U apart. Nintendo is all about games. Specs are something they have never released and that isnt going to change.

Well if it's a Wii U event then it should. I mean Wii U is suppose to come out holiday 2012 and their is still no word of release date and Wii U barely has any advertising.
ziggurcat  +   600d ago
it would be really nice to know what the specs are for this thing...
richierich  +   600d ago
I hope they show some hard core games

I guess it really doesnt matter what happens.. Nintendo UNLIKE PS or MS, has a strong enough loyal fan-base to survive on its 1st party alone.. PS & MS have great games but neither of them would survie a console race without 3rd party.. Its not a bad thing but my philosophy is that "a core console gamer needs at LEAST 2 consoles".. Nintendo for unrivaled quality & innovation (thats casual for everyone but hardcore @ the same time that will make the best of the best growl in anger & quit) & PS or XB (for 3rd party M rated greatness w up to date technical horsepower & features (graphics, network, media, etc)..

I dont care what ANYONE on this site or any other says but i believe that Nintendo is a crucial part of console gaming & will always be there as long as video games exist.. Like em or not, the craftsmanship of 1st party developed games will always threaten the competition which is why they are always copied by em & can be the #1 seller without making new IPs or use M rated content.. Hell, they sold gamecube technology TWICE by adding a cheap a$$ wiimote n sensor in maximum res of 480p w/o even putting in a DVD player! LMAO! Now someone plz tell me, what other console maker can do that with a "E" rated reputation & lowest possible graphical power AND little to no 3rd party successful exclusives??
