CVG - Counter-Strike Global Offensive Review

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tries to emerge from the meteor-sized shadows of the original 2000 Counter-Strike and the 2004 Source follow-up. It aims to satisfy the (often vocal) CS community, while also pulling in as many casual players as possible. 8/10

Was always curious about this game as iit had a Socom like cult following. Picked it up yesterday on the psn and so I'm gonna give it a chance . Seems to play a lot like the Modern combat domination game released a year or two ago for those who never played cs before like me. I guess adding the keyboard and mouse will allow some people to enjoy it more but it's not that good with a controller. Definitely meant to be key/mouse played possible move controllers.
QUESTION:
Can you aim down the sights or is it only crosshairs on screen? I've tried using custom control/default and see nothing about it.

You can only ADS on weapons with scopes. This is an old-school shooter through and through and paved the way for many that came after it. Of course, it doesn't have the high-tech visuals or XP numbers flashing on-screen like most modern shooters, but it still satisfies the absolute hardcore of multiplayer shooting fans.

At launch GO has a whole host of issues, but I can only speak for PC. I'm sure they'll be ironed out at some point, considering the game plays far better now than it did a few months ago when I played the Beta.

You can only aim down the sights with a scoped weapon. CS has always been this way.

I think only certain guns or attachments can zoom. I think it's R3 to zoom in, can't be sure I only played a couple matches last night but there is definitely a zoom button. I only got the prompt to zoom in when I got a gun with a scope

You can't aim down the sights unless the gun has a built-in scope like sniper rifles and some assault rifles. I played last night on Psn for about 4 hours straight. It brought back memories of dedust. I had a blast. Definitely worth the 11.99
