EA: "we're never going to win" the FIFA hacking battle

FIFA 12's Ultimate Team DLC has made serious money for publisher EA, but a proportion of the profits are owing to footie-obsessed Xbox Live account hackers. Speaking to Joystiq, core labels boss Frank Gibeau has admitted that hacking is a perennial problem, unlikely to ever be resolved.

A long time ago before anonymous and media's misconstrued use of the term hacker, hackers were just a bunch smart geeks/nerds who liked to tinker with things.

very true and back in those days they werent even called hackers, the correct term for the were crackers. but the media has got into and switched things around.

They need to put everything on severs like most MMOS. That should curb some of the fake cards and dupes. Things could be accounted for.

Bummer I'm not a cool entitled gamer trying to give to the man. Does it really matter about DRM , when you are already going to buy the game and INTANGIBLE OBJECTS ( card packs )with real money anyway.
