Why not just start a kickstarter for stuff like this? Have people donate $50 and get a free copy of the game (read, purchase the game).
That way whoever brought it over would be 100% guaranteed to break even, make a profit, or make a huge profit--whatever they wanted. And if it fails, nothing is lost.
