Review: Papo & Yo [Press2Reset]

Puzzles and metaphors abound in Minority's puzzle title from PSN. Phil quested with Quico and Monster while trying to keep Monster sober enough to help out. (Papo & Yo, PS3) 7/10

Level of quality coming from digital releases is astounding. Just the last month has produced some of the best looking and playing games this year. I hope the developers keep it up, cause I'll keep buying.

For sure. I'm making my way through Dust: An Elysian Tail and it's pretty great.

Although to be fair, some promising downloadable titles have proven pretty disappointing. Deadlight, Sound Shapes and Papo & Yo come to mind.

Sound Shapes and Papo & Yo were disappointing to you?!?

Why?

I think Deadlight was a pretty well done game. It had its moments of brilliance, and at the same time its weak points. If the developers choose to make a sequel to the game, and they take the criticism they received to heart, the next game will be great.

Dust has blown me away with how well done it is, and the cameos from characters of other games is also a nice touch.

Haven't played the other two yet though.
