1Up: Atsushi Inaba Interview - Ex-Clover CEO talks about leaving Capcom.

1Up writes the past year has been a busy one for Atsushi Inaba, the one-time Capcom producer responsible for games like Steel Battalion, and then Viewtiful Joe, Okami and God Hand while acting as CEO of the much-loved Clover Studio.

While the critical successes have never been lacking in Inaba and company's CV, the corresponding sales results have always been inconsistent, especially in Japan. Shortly after we interviewed Clover Studio's Inaba and Hideki Kamiya (the director behind Resident Evil 2, Devil May Cry, Viewtiful Joe, and Okami) in late 2006, Capcom issued a press release announcing that the small, mostly independent development team had been dissolved. Since that time, Inaba and Kamiya (along with Clover co-founder Shinji Mikami) resurfaced briefly as SEEDS, before ultimately reforming as Platinum Games.

1UP caught up with Inaba at last year's Tokyo Game Show to discuss the direction of what was then called SEEDS. While it's a little bit late, our interview still provides a lot of insights in what to expect from Inaba's team as they moved forward on next-gen development. Read on and learn, and check back as we uncover more of what Platinum Games is working on.
