IGN - While Cold Stream lacks that special Valve sheen, it’s certainly not a badly designed Left 4 Dead 2 campaign. Plus, the addition of the original four Left 4 Dead campaigns is something that you’d be silly to pass up on. At $7, it’s hard to dispute the value here, especially if you’ve been missing on some zombie slaying since L4D2’s last DLC, The Passing, was released in October 2010.

One of the most enjoyable aspects of a game such as Left 4 Dead 2 is what the community can create with the raw materials that make up the game. Players and developers alike are astounded by the imagination and sheer resourcefulness of those members of the community who dedicate their time to conjuring up re-playability. On August 3rd 2012, Valve released one such community creation as downloadable content for Left 4 Dead 2. It’s time to take a trip through the Cold Stream campaign.
GameSpy: In a world gone mad with $15 map packs and $2 clothing packs, it's easy to feel like nothing in gaming is free anymore. But while some games show no hesitation or remorse with their pricing guns, the fact is that many developers have been giving away away free content by the boatload over the past year. Yes...yes it is. It's the worst Left 4 Dead campaign.
It's just a map where hundreds of zombies are thrown at you for no reason at all....while you're trying to fight a current and walk up stairs. There is no "gameplaning" or strategy at all on this level.
I've had this map for free on the PC forever and I hate it.
7/10 for a free download? Oh wait this is the 360 review.
