Eurogamer deliberately crafted a misleading headline in order to capitalize on a hot topic these days: the Wii U specs.
I remember someone trying to point this out in the original article. Lo and behold anyone who did nothing but read the headline bought it. Hook, line and sinker, as Simon Gruber once said.
This is how journalism works nowadays = Full of BS. Eurogamer lost my respect long time ago, so I took the time to search for the original source. The guy is actually saying the WiiU version of the game look as good as the other versions and maybe it will be better if they explore the system's capabilities. Here is the original article with the interview: http://www.ign.com/articles... “(The game is) easily on a par [with Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions]. We’re still very much getting to grips with what we can make the hardware do [...]. So it’s hard to really answer that right now, but yeah, I think once we’ve had a bit more time finding our way around it, chances are you can look to do things that you may not be able to do before.”
Why make such an issue over graphics. Everyone knows console gamers dont care about graphics.
"Everyone knows console gamers dont care about graphics." That's right people. 6 years of N4G NEVER HAPPENED.
Just what I said: http://n4g.com/comments/red...
*big smile* Now you're playing power!
*big frown* with^ ...damn typos!
Always read the article and find the original quotes. Most headlines nowadays are either completely false or simply misleading.
Sadly it's a wasted apology. None of the trolls are going to bother with a positive Wii U article. No MikeCosgrove coming to say he was wrong.
true! He will never be here to say "I am sorry, I was wrong". And people like you lose bubbles. That's how it works here in N4g.
You know what? I'm going to give you a bubble. "Well said"
That's where you are wrong my friend. No apology is ever wasted. If you tell 1 lie, eventually you will have to tell another... and another. The truth, however, always remains the same. Also, the truth always comes out (eventually). It is merely an unchanged, and undeniable, fact waiting to be discovered. Don't think about the haters, and their apologies. Think about the overly cautious 3rd party dev that could read this today. Perhaps they'll give the WiiU a chance now... you never know. As for MikeCosgroove, who gives a damn? I couldn't care less. I promise you, come November you won't care either. You will be playing your next gen WiiU, and he'll still be on this site "bottom-feeding" the Nintendo doom articles.
When will we see you apologizing for trolling in a Sony article? Never? I thought so. If you can't legitimately claim to be different, it's really a waste of your breath to try and call somebody else out.
I'm loving the positivity here. I'm sure the wii u will be a great system regardless of its graphical output. However, Hicken is correct in what he says. PuddleJumper, you are no different than what you're calling out Mikesgrove for. One look at your comment history and the very last comment you posted shows this, where even I responded to correct you. I'm well aware I will get more disagrees by you guys for pointing this out.
Well I will never take their articles seriously again.
We all (gaming fans) appreciate the gesture, by you writing this article :).
I will wait to the Wii U is released to see the real specs.
Oh yeah, called out!
Eurogamer, famed for second hand reporting - when they get a story themselves, this happens.
Ahh who cares?
