GR: "This week, Activision, Treyarch, and a whole lot of Xbox 360 sponsorship revealed the upcoming multiplayer in Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. Literally. It's been streaming all freaking week. I've seen more Call of Duty multiplayer in the past three days than I've seen for any Call of Duty title before release."
-More accurate hit detection, no dodgey killcams where I'm hit as I'm running around the corner.
-Good variety in maps (jungles, snowy, urban)
-Different routes for different playstyles (sniper, shotgun, SMG) for a good example of that see Pipeline in CoD4.
-Snipers that are useful but not overpowered. 1 shot kill to the chest or above with a bolt action, no ridiculous sway for the 3 seconds you look down the scope and add a fair bit of recoil so you need to make sure it hits. Sorted.
-Customisation, customisation is always good, face paint, weapon camo's, emblems ect
-Fun weapons, ballistic knife, flamethrower and the sticky crossbow from Black ops were all pretty cool.
-A riot shield that doesn't suck, its not that hard is it? MW3 riot shield is broken you get shot straight through it, and the mobility should be normal/same as with the assault rifle so its actually slightly useful.
-Stuns need to be thrown faster than flashes, for some reason in MW3 stuns have the same throw time as flashes. This is lame. Get rid of it.
-Balanced Killstreaks, Black ops was pretty balanced with the killstreaks. They were useful but easy to take down/avoid. Keep it that way.
-Balanced perks, flak jacket pro immune to an 8 killstreak carpet bomber?...no.
-Improved theatre mode, theatre mode is awesome but it can still be kinda buggy, also we need more than 6 or so slots. There should be at the very least 10.
Rant over :P

Best joke of 2012
Smh how sad.
*your
*people.
There..
Their biggest selling point is adding E-Sports spectating, something a small percentage of playerbase will even use. Nothing groundbreaking with the actual game. All that memory devoted to code most wont even use, like the video capture crap in their last game. Code that couldn've been used for better game mechanics, items, modes maps ect.
They've run out of ideas. Everything else is just the same old gun, gadget and perk reskinned with a new name and call it new.
Can you imagine a developer being like "Our latest game is okay, but nothing special."?
"Discover the Secret that will unravel an empire.
A war looms on the horizon. The mighty empire begins a campaign to subjugate its neighbors. The small kingdom of Dalmasca was one such neighbor and it's here our tale begins.
In a fight for freedom, fallen royalty and unlikely allies must struggle to liberate the homeland. Trace the mysteries behind the Empire's invasion and unmask the players in s a drama of justice and betrayal."
^ That's like, all story hype. >_>
The back of the standard box is similar. It's three paragraphs in a HUGE font face about the story. And then there's a little blurb about the battle system in a font half the size, in the corner.
I didn't think much till I saw a good amount of multi-player gameplay and now I'm intrigued.
Halo 4 is still my biggest release this year though.
As gamerelite pointed out all developers say that about their games, would be silly to say otherwise, unless they've decided they don't like making money.
... but MW2 quickly got stale, being full of cheap perks, campers, and noob-friendly modes that made playing with skill not as much fun as its predecessors. I was actually somewhat jaded with BC2 came out, but it was refreshing, and renewed my hopes for the FPS genre.
Those hopes were rather dashed, though, when Black Ops came out and was hardly better than MW2, if at all. To top it off, Killzone 3 took a page or two from Call of Duty's book, and a lot of its individuality was gone.
Most people that hate CoD- and come here to talk about it- are former fans of the franchise. We just want it to get better, but it's clear that it's not improving as much as it SHOULD. And enablers like yourself, who doggedly defend the game when you should be demanding better, are only making the situation worse; as long as you keep buying, they've got no reason to put serious effort into improving.
So those of us hoping for something BETTER try to educate the willfully ignorant, like yourself, and thus we find ourselves here, now.
Make sense to you? I bet not.
Also I want to get a 3DS XL, a Vita, and a Wii U...
My wallet will be ****ed come January.
But hey, to each his own.
2. Force fed the same rhetoric each year.
3. Cheats and jackasses. (see 1 & 5)
4. Fancier paint job, but the exact same game.
5. F'ing Annoying racist children.
feh. So many other much much cooler games coming, so why bother with this rehash?
Also one thing that bothers me about the game is how the animations dont match what the player is actually doing. Most people probably don't complain about this but it irks me. For example, if you flash someone, their character sticks a hand in front of their face like they're blinded but in reality they have both hands still on the gun. For some reason that drives me nuts.
2.new cod announced.
3.whole internet cant wait,startled hardcore.
4.new selling record for cod.
5.everyone hates cod again.
cycle starts again, another thrash in making.
- Terrible lag.
- Very big hit boxes. Insanely big.
This game is a fail, and I will PASS. Just like I didn't buy WaW, BO or MW3.
