Now is a great time for gamers to pick up a PS3. As this console generation comes to an end the PS3 is looking to have a strong finish with games like Last of Us, God of War Ascension, and Beyond: Two Souls. Outside of the exclusive games there are many other reasons to break down and finally pick up a PS3. Who knows maybe gamers will see a price drop in the next 6 months.
Sony has recruited Bungie's head of revenue Jaremy Rich to head up its live-service gaming division, Rich has announced on social media.
Please do not put Destiny’s monetization into Sony’s first party games. The monetization is what’s driving players away from Destiny.
I mean, this person made some pretty bad decisions at Bungie. I hope they've learned from them because I definitely don't see those type of ideas as good for PlaySation in general.
Ps5 gamers in 2023 seemed to play more live service types of games, so regardless to how people feel about them, numbers don’t lie and Sony is going where the money is. I mean look at the excitement around Helldivers2, people are showing that they want live service games.
How do you kill a franchise that already been killed?
Destiny’s grind, cash-in-on-playbass-cha-Ching, and pop-culture-insertion mainstream-me-too bs totally killed any rep Bungie had. Sony/Bungie, if you are doing this to ward-off players, it’s already working.
Sony has patented to add multiple dialogue modes to let players switch between how many conversations with NPCs they want in the game.
Sony is like the only ones outta the 3 that has atuff like like this pop up changing thing in ways.
Genuine Enabling Technology was seeking damages, claiming the tech allowing PlayStation consoles and controllers to communicate infringes its rights.
Sounds like patent trolling they tried the same thing against Nintendo with the same pattern.
Motion and control input traversing over higher and lower frequencies seperate from each other allowing the controller to do both
So to recoup the money Genuine is going to take on Nintendo or Microsoft next. I hate patent lawyers they are some of the worst bottom feeders out there.
Is this a question or a statement. BOOM, see what I did there, with the slyly sarcastic punctuation? Yeeeeaaaaahhhh.....seriously though, everyone should own every console AND a PC because they're all good in some way.
It was perfect five years ago Turkish.
It was a good time to get the console in 2009. Three years later, if you don't own it then you can do with out. If you haven't already fallen for the first party titles in the last four years, it's unlikely the latest offerings will be enough for you now. It's more than likely that you're more into third-party titles and if you cared about those you likely already own a 360 and/or PC that has been giving you what you need/want.
Honestly, the only people who don't own the consoles now aren't core gamers who might see a need in it. It's people who wouldn't buy games for it. That is, of course, just my idiotic opinion.
because its the console with the best games out right now and it will continue to put out the best quality games in compassion to the other two consoles till the end of this generation.
there ya go. just saved you guys a read.
It's. Not its. I have a hard time taking an article seriously that doesn't even get the title right.
Then again, this is IGN-level fan-wankery.
"Gamescom belongs to Sony, as does my heart."
Never forget.
