The producer of the series Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, Dave Cox, used the framework of the GameCom 2012 to comment on his twitter some details of the next Castlevania.
"@VofEscaflowne - How many people have a Wii U? #zero How many people have a PC #lots - Never say never for Wii U but hard to make a case!" Dave Cox That's the actual tweet
I'm actually kinda glad about this news, because it means at least we'll get the game as soon as it's ready. Obviously anything like this is bad news for Nintendo, but tbh, they've got enough titles at launch, and I'm sure they'll get more support as time goes on for he Wii U.
"@VofEscaflowne - How many people will pirate it on a Wii U? #zero How many people will pirate it on a PC #lots - Never say never for Wii U but it's easy to make a case!" Dave Cox That's not the actual tweet, but if he put some thought into it beforehand - it could have been.
read on gamespot.com awhile back Dave Cox next game SUPPOSE to be CONTRA after LOTS 2 anyone else heard that???
how do they expect it to get a user base?
I think it is a good move for now to put it on PC. The Wii U may just get a copy at some point, but now I think Cox is doing the right thing. I still don't think some dev's are sold on the idea of the Wii U.
Good, I'd rather they not waste their time. Work on the music more this time please.
It's not a bad news . Think about it , wouldnt it be better to get some combo of the two games or a revamped version of both on Wii U , instead of just a LOD2 port ?
but that would cost them more money?
Maybe but whatever PR say , the first reaction people got when they see a number in those story driven games titles is : where is the previous one ? It was the same with ME2 on ps3 , and will be likewise with ME3 on wii U . It stand a better chance as a whole , or with at least both games available ... especially if it passes as a superior version
This could be the reason why the Vita is not getting Mirror of Fate? Even though a reason was given before, I think this better explains it.
His statement is kind of confusing and maybe it is taken out of context. How can a console that is not out have any sort of user base at all? There is certainly the potential for a large install base initially, but potential isn't reality. It's just an odd statement to make overall. I just hope they work hard on making a real final boss with the next game and not some random none sense that made it blatantly obvious that Lord of Shadows was never intended to be a Castlevania game.
