Ratchet & Clank: Q-Force (Hands-on Preview) [Dealspwn.com]

Dealspwn writes: You might be wondering where Insomniac Games have been since announcing their multi-platform title, Overstrike. Well, since then this is their second Ratchet & Clank title, it would seem they’re not quite ready to move out of mama Sony’s house quite yet.

In recent years we’ve had the awesome Crack in Time and last year saw the enjoyable inclusion of multiplayer to the series with All 4 One. Today’s demo was single player but there will be online and splitscreen co-op options for two players. I can't wait to play this game. No matter what people say, I think the Future series was pretty good. I was disappointed by All 4 One, but this one looks like it's returning to the regular game mechanics. Can't wait for it to come out.

"No matter what people say, I think the Future series was pretty good."

Well I've personally never heard any negative talk of the Future series. First off, they shouldn't even be looked at as a different series at all, they are just called Future because of the new console, it's the same continuing story from the PS2 days, with the lovable game play as well. They are fantastic games, and I think Crack in Time is the best Ratchet & Clank game next to Up Your Arsenal.

Crack in Time improved, and added so much to the series, it had RPG elements like exploring planets/moons, regardless of how small they were. Customizing Ratchet's weapons, so many collectibles to find. Such an amazing game. I was also happy with All 4 One, as a real dedicated fan, I welcomed it with open arms with the new game play style, and I think it's much better than everyone says.
