Dave Cox, Producer of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 and Head of Product Planning and Development for Konami Digital said that Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 will push whatever format it is on to the absolute limit.
PC says hi.
Konami: "Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 pushes whatever format it is on to the absolute limit" pac man can push a console/pc to the limit if u wanna get technical
You think they're going to put the work into the PC version (if there even is one) so that it pushes modern high-end machines to the "absolute limit"? I sincerely doubt it myself, but you hold onto hope, brother.
people seem to forget that pushing to it's limit doesn't mean it'll be the best thing on the market. This could mean many thing, and for all we knot it could be true. The game could look like complete vomit in graphics, yet still use the console to it's limits because it has more going on in the background then one thinks. This "limit" that developers speak of is a technical term, not a visual term that can be seen with the naked eye.
Hopefully this isn't some PR bullshit..
"Push it to the limit" http://www.youtube.com/watc... awesome I cant take any of these devs seriously when they say things like that, how many times have we heard it this gen?
That is the most ridiculous statement i have ever heard.
Konami plz. After the mess that is Silent Hill "HD" Collection I'm having a hard time in having faith in you.
lol so the game will look better than The Last of Us on PS3 ?
Meh, kinda subjective. If they really can push the console to its limits while having phenomenal art direction, animation etc. it depends. Some might like the fantasy setting of the Castlevania, others might like TLOU more.
Probably not but it would have a different art style. So you can't really compare.
I knew a graphic comment was coming. Everyone seems to think that pushing something to it's limit is always with graphics or how much is going on screen. Pushing something to it's limit doesn't mean it'll look better or be better than everything out there, it simple means that they will use up all the resources that's allowed. Technical speaking, both Last of US and CLOS 2 can be pushing the console to it's limit, it's how the resources and where it's applied that makes them different. When a developer says it they mean it. And as stated they are utilizing (or may not be) the resources in different areas.
developers need to stop saying that
To be fair , LOD 1 was easily one of the best looking multiplatform games on console , and still is .
The downside of LOD 1 was its inconsistent framerate. Here is hoping that the PC version of LOD 2 won't be a 'Dark Souls' port.
how many developpers said that this gen? In fact... most of the 3rd party dev who will never push a console to its "absolute limit".
LOD 1 was breathtaking, especially that scene where Simon was running up the snowy path and the gothic castle was in the background all scary and dark. I believe this statement and I cant wait to play this game
I loved this game in everyway, to me it rivaled GOW3 in how epic it was overall.
I agree! And that is saying something considering the grand scale of GOW3. It almost reminded me of a mix of GOW and Shadow of the colossus......really well done.
Well.. Only time will tell.
LOD 1 is stunning so I wouldn't be surprised if LOD2 looked absolutely incredible
What they mean is that they are going to optimize the game to the best of their abilities for each platform. or Dey gun optimulize dafuq outta it! Because they sure as hell optimulized dafuq outta the first game. So I guess that they've managed to optimulize some mofuqs outta each platform with the sequel.
I'm getting sick of these tropes.
can wait for the game loved the first.
To be fair, the first one did look pretty.
