You know, I don't really think that Vita needed saving anyway; it just need more time. But history will define this conference as the turning point regardless of whether it was true or not. So now the general media can write articles like: 'Until Gamscom, the Vita was dead' and use it as a get out of jail free card. It was never dead, it was never demised, it was never pushing up the daisies, the Vita prefers kipping on its back

PS3 had the same BS journalism in it's first 2 years...some wildy exaggerated it was dead too...

Whilst Vita may not have done the immediate numbers some would have's a slow burner.
