Mine would be Xenogears would be a great game to be remade, could even fix the issue where they ran out of funds an let you play through the whole story on the second disc instead of just watch most of it.
I would not want FF7 battle system touched at all was perfect just as it was.Seeing Friday the 13th on someones remake list is a first the game was horrible but I could see it actually working now.
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night was perfect updating the graphics is all it needs I think it would lose some of what made it so nice in 3d.
If FFVII is remade. I want no changes to the formula. Same camera fixed camera angles, same world, same battle systems and gameplay. Only differences is they can allow X as primary Execute as it's more custom for Westerners and of course redo all the cutscenes and fix up the animates, lighting effects, and flair. But I want to play the game I remembered. I just don't trust SE's judgement on gaming this gen and want them to stick with what worked at the highlight of their career.
I liked FFVII's battle system for FFVII. If that was changed, then it wouldn't be FFVII anymore. There's no need to update it or make it more like later FF games. Let the new FF games be revolutionary and up-to-date. Let FFVII (and any potential remakes or HD versions) be nostalgic.
I wish they remake FFVII and make it real time combat like Witcher 2 or something maybe not as far as DMC but that wouldnt be bad. Would finally get to play them like they are shown in the cutscenes and not like battle chess.
Dont care what old schoolers think but theres a reason its called old school.
More ppl do feel that way look at any real time gameplay game sales vs semi-real time or dice roll gameplay.
I used to love dice roll style gameplay when it was a thing back then but today having tasted newer possibilities why go back.
Same way ppl already feel why QTE's and too much cinematic gameplay.
Ppl move on and games change.
I feel even Square Enix have thought about it.
Why redo a game the same way?
Wait a bit, wait for the audience a lil bit, wait for the industry a lil bit and when they are all ready they will reboot FFVII maybe in a whole new light if not then its best kept shelved for the moment.
bad list. You should of called this 8 games in need of a remake. PS1 games anything and older cannot be ported into HD without being completely remade. Only games of the PS2 generation and more recent can be polished up.
