Crysis 3 May Be The Best Looking PC Title Ever - High Resolution Textures Spotted

DSOGaming writes: "Crysis fans, get ready to drool all over your monitors. Remember that amazing tech demo that featured scenes from Crysis 3 and was released a couple of days ago in YouTube? Well, let me tell you this: you have not seen what Crysis 3 is capable of. Why you ask? But because it was so compressed - due to YouTube's algorithm - that you really failed to notice the amazingly high-resolution textures that Crytek has used." (Crysis 3, PC)

Sounds good. Bring it on Crytek

I'll take Gameplay over graphics!!

Crysis 3 can look like a big budget Hollywood movie but if it lacks the Gameplay style from Crysis 1 then Yaaaaawn, Zzzzz!

I need to get a new rig. Last time I upgraded was when Crysis 1 came out. So yeah, it's an ancient beast :D

? If you can play Crysis 1, you can pretty much play this game on high too.

Unless you played Crysis 1 on medium low settings, i don't see how Crysis 3 would require an "upgrade". Wait until the specs for Watch Dogs comes out before such an upgrade is made. I want to upgrade my system too, but i'm not dumb enough to do it now, i'm waiting until next year when PS4/720 specs are released OR Watch Dog, Starwars 1313 etc specs are released.

If you can max Crysis 1, you will pretty much max 95% of the PC games released that very same gen. Thus, no reason to upgrade until next gen starts. I mean you don't "NEED" to, but you could if you wanted to get higher FPS and what not.

this isn't even sort of true. I could max out Crysis 1, but have to turn down settings to play Battlefield 3 and Crysis 2. or if i try to run any newer game with mods. my 4870x2 has nothing on a 680 gtx.

Actually, I spent $1500 on a rig at the time and even that couldn't max out crysis. I could only run it on medium.

Realistic graphics are just a crutch for mediocre gameplay. I'll take a cartoony Crysis 3 if it meant something fresher than Crysis 2.

They should of never made it for console. Now we have unlimited cloak thank to the masses. Can't touch counter strike though. never!!

Also I have played crappy games with crappy graphics.

The only thing the "console" did to hamper this game is it's tech and scale. Gameplay has nothing to do with it, Crysis 1 was pretty bland in that regard, trying to mistake multiple-options for sandbox approach is the reason why the original was overrated. Despite the suit, yo never feel really powerful, send in a COD character and I can assure you the whole game would end in less than 3 hours.

Remember how impressed we all were with the pre-release press media for Crysis 2? I'll be damed if half of those advanced graphics features they toted get put to decent use in the actual game.

Well, heres to hoping its a bit more optimized for midrange machines. And Not broken DX11 would be nice too.

ALSO, Dem trees, most definatelly cryteks strong point. /s
