IGN: Halo 4 Specializations Will Change Halo Multiplayer Forever

IGN writes: You’re going to play Halo 4 this fall. You know it. Your friends know it. Your family knows it. Your significant other knows it (What’s that? You haven’t told them yet? Trust us, it’s probably best to do so sooner rather than later). For Xbox owners, there is simply no bigger game. But with today’s unveiling of multiplayer Specializations – essentially, Spartan mini-classes that will further customize, enhance, and prolong your Halo 4 War Games multiplayer experience – you’re probably underestimating just how much of your life is about to be spent with the Spartan IVs. We’ve got a breakdown of all eight Specialization classes, starting with the basics, along with details straight from the mouth of Halo 4 Spartan Ops designer David Ellis. Buckle up, people.

The story is too old to be commented.

Hopefully for the better. None the less 343 is innovating with Halo and everything I saw looked phenomenal. Nov 6 can't come fast enough.

Btw those specialization armors look UBER sick. especially Wetwork.

Cerberus292166d ago (Edited 2166d ago )

I'm betting there will be alot of wetwork user especially around launch since A) it's available to everyone. B) it resembles hayabusa armor. C) the counter to promethean vision (which is good to see counters against)

Personally I'm probably gonna go with either stalker or pioneer at launch. Or I might go with wetworks too, the benefits do sound really useful...

I'm also curious as to whether or not the Rogue mod only works on sniper rifles or all scoped weapons. If it keeps you scoped in on all weapons I might be using that.

It's the same as 1,2 and 3. How is that changed?

aviator1892167d ago

Did you even bother to read up on specializations in the article?? They're nothing like anything that was in the previous Halo titles.

AngelicIceDiamond2166d ago

If you read anything on Halo 4 after E3, you'd know its anything but the same. They've kept some things in the past, but have beefed it up, along with changes, and brand new features unheard of in Halo and new features seem to keep coming.

I didn't have to explain all that to you clearly but, it seem like you needed educating. That trolling is ridiculous and immature. I comment on PlayStation articles allll the time and not once will you catch me trolling(check my comment history). I don't understand why you have to

ignorant.... enough said.

Uncharted 123 same
Gears 123 same
Ratchet an clank all = same

Each game just improves upon what's already established. That's te point of a sequel.

Halo 4 is doing much more than improving. It's innovating the series.

...Where is my fricken Active Cammo!

So, do you HAVE to wear these armors for the special perks to work? I'm not saying they don't look cool, but it would suck if you lose the armor's special effect just because you change a shoulder piece or something.

DIRTtheHURT2167d ago

no they are tactical or support perks

robavila952167d ago

Oh so the armors are like a bonus to the perk you unlock? :)

shaneTsung2166d ago

wheres the legendary edition ?

m232166d ago

There is no legendary edition, been confirmed since the limited edition was announced. Only regular edition and the limited edition, and also the Halo 4 console. Thats it.
