"Final Fantasy is synonymous with the pinnacle of Japanese role playing games. Although many might debate the legitimacy of that claim today, the fact still stands that Final Fantasy helped establish RPGs as one of the most popular gaming genres in North America.
Although Theatrhythm Final Fantasy may seem out of tune in comparison to recent releases, the game creates a charm that keeps it from falling into the realm of easily dismissed oddities.
Theatrhythm’s plot is a basic one: restore balance to the world via the completion of musical scores. That’s it. Even though this is technically a Final Fantasy title, there is no trademark overcomplicated backstory. There is only a simple and addicting gameplay premise: tap the correct notes in the correct sequence with adequate timing."
