Treyarch has lifted the lid on Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 multiplayer at a special event at German show Gamescom, confirming the series' famous kill streaks have been ditched and new e-sports focused features have been added.
Not gonna lie....the gameplay was a little boring to watch. Might be more fun to play so i'll be picking it up. However a lot of walking around, not a lot of action or pressure points, and nothing in the skies to make things hectic.
Hm, score streaks are an improvement though, Encourage less camping for Kills
There are also weapons to spot campers, so this shall be interesting
MW3 already has this, it's just being tweaked even further for BO2.
looks just as boring as watching mw3. Battlefield 3 gameplay is still better.
Same CoD with small Update, not gonna Lie.
Horrible RDS returns. *Sigh* I was actually looking forward to this one but im not gonna lie when i seen that first screen shot i thought that was MW3.
I saw 2 diffrent rds in 1 of the vids. he picks a gun up and its a diffrent rds.
Not gonna lie...
this will be the last COD game...
I ever buy.
is it me or, dose the grafics look like cell shading?! (like Borderlands) EDIT: never mind...i just seen another video, nothing has changed. On the other hand, cant wait for Borderlands 2 :) Edit...."this still has that dum ass RC car!!! what a joke!!! next killstreke My Little Pony with a flame shields"
You had better watch yourself. I heard them bronies can be rather vicious. I'm not gonna lie.....
"THEM DAM BRONIES"
the graphics are only SLIGHTLY better than Homefront... unfortunately there's STILL gonna be a huge amount of campers..
I'm not going to lie, people are just being straight up honest in this thread. Good to see :D
haters gonna hate. some of them praise BF3 close quaters which is much worse than cod itself
I would disagree with that, I'm yet to witness ridiculous spawn camping on any of the CQ maps, the decoration and detail in the buildings is far superior to COD, never mind the environmental damage present in CQ.
haha that made me chuckle. Thanx.
I'm so glad they're getting rid of killstreaks!
I'm not gonna lie, the more I hear about these changes from the previous CoD games, the more tempted I am to pick the game up. However, I wanna see how balanced it is first and if some terrible perks (MARTYRDOM, SCREW YOU) are still in there. I'm going to continue my not-lyingness and say that I played some MW3 on one of Steam's free CoD weekends and thought that it was a fun experience without all of those 360 no-scoping pricks or the legions of campers. Still not a great game, but a fun one when you're in the right mindset. Still... those maps SUCKED in that game. *shudders* But, yeah, I think Treyarch has a much more firm grasp on the series than Infinity Ward does anymore and, with all of these changes (and those nice things they're FINALLY doing for PC gamers), this might be the first CoD game I've bought since the original Modern Warfare. Here's hoping it's good.
Martyrdom is not as bad as commando was. You could avoid martyrdom a lot easier than a commando. The killstreaks from Cod4 were fine but it got crazier after that game. Blops 2 seems like it's more gun on gun and that is a good thing.
I hope in game live-streaming catches on.
I'm gonna lie...
I'm not gonna lie, this is just the same cod with a few tweaks. The eight players versus zombies mode does interest me tho.
they should have two care packageS one at 4 kills one at 7, one ground based, one air based, i want to see a glass elevator based level with bullet proof glass and only team members can shot out and lots of glass floors and falling glass kills, i allways wanted a ladder/grappling hook, multi kills should count for more and nothing to do with stupid air attacks
I'm not gonna lie, they're to many I'm not gonna lie post in here!
why is the knifing the same treyarch said it was gonna be like equipment now or something like that wtf!!!???
Get rid of the levelling up as well, & just make it Timesplitters fun, where the emphasis is on the game controlling on a dime (which the series is already close to), running as smooth as possible in all modes, on ALL formats (PS3 suttle hint, hint), AND DROP ALL THIS CRAP, SO EVERY PLAYER IS ON AN EVEN PLAYING FIELD. I mean, like most things in life, this game is a$$ up, as the logical thing would be to give beginner players slight advantages to help them compete with the guys who live on the game from the day it releases. I am a half decent player, without being great, or even really good.......but I can get a nice ammount of kills & I know for the little effort & time I put in, I could get a whole lot better. But for players who really just have no real talent at these type games, I would gladly give up advantages to them, to make there COD experience more accomodating, & not have them get turned off & disgruntled with the whole experience from the start, as I believe the more players the better on an online game. So, they should program it so the experienced players with bigger rank (although I'd scrap ranking too, & just chalk people's ability up to total kills to deaths & playtime, & program the less good/experienced guys against each other, so everything was evened out for all comers. It really is stupid & frustrating to get onto an online game with these perk systems in place, & to get on as a newbie, & be smashed by guys who not only have the advantage of 300hrs more playtime experience than you, so they know every nook & cranny of every map, but also have the absolute cream of the crop weapons & there accessories, to have on top of that these "superman", steroid warrior, abilities, that leave the poor 1st timers standing still.
the killstreaks, deathstreaks, etc. is what made COD different. Crysis 3 and Halo 4 look much better than this boring sack of potatoes.
Crysis 3? All Crysis 2's multiplayer was was just a straight copy of CoD, except it also used the nanosuits. Halo 4 looks nice, but we certainly haven't seen all that much out of it yet. Yeah, so I replied because I can't believe you listed Crysis. Crysis as a series is just so unremarkable, I'm not gonna lie. It's a generic shooter for the most part, serving mostly as a tech demonstration.
I will hold judgement till they show me some more. I really hope next generation they do a really nice update to the engine and the game looks beautiful. I want to feel like I did when I first saw the sniper level for COD4. I will probably end up picking this up and trying it out, since I was impressed with what Treyarch did in Black Ops, but I am not going to get eager in anticipation. I did enjoy MW3, but grew tired of it rather quickly. I do like how they dropped the level rank to 55 and 10 levels of prestiege. That actually makes it more appealing to do it then what the last few installments had. Only time will tell and I hope Treyarch delivers and brings some excitement back to this series.
