CS:GO - Survival Tips For The CoD Generation

MMGN.com writes: Counter-Strike; it's a name you've heard uttered by your older brother, father, uncle or grandfather, but you've never bothered to check it out for yourself, passing it off as an older, inferior game when compared to the run-and-gun antics of CoD warfare. With the impending release of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive however, you're keen to see what all the fuss it about, and why over a decade later, this franchise is still the king of online shooters.

The story is too old to be commented.

lol wait so "sound whoring", knowing the maps and using cover is not an integral part to COD? uhhh huuuuuhhhhhh.

always crouch when an enemy is nearby? Did this guy just started playing CS? crouching restricts your movement speed especially your strafing... that is the last thing you want to do when you want to get the jump on someone from around the corner.

I've been playing CS for about 7 years mate. For newcomers I think it's important that they learn each section of each map, and spend most of their time crouching until they learn when you should move quickly and when you should sit back.

Yes sound and knowing maps help n CoD, but let's be honest, any fool can run into the game and shoot their way to victory with ease.

Maybe I've been away from cs for too long but I'd recommend a newbie to crouch when enemies are nearby too unless on the offensive. Telling someone who is used to cod's level of recoil to strafe and fire accurately at the same time is like telling someone with one leg to run 200m.
