nintendo and a NEW IP damn that sounds so good till we get more of mario and zelda. Nintendo put so much effort into their old IP's that when they actually do something fresh and new they don't push it hard enough or its not as polished as zelda and mario.

i a going into wii-u with an open ind and trust in nintendo and i do hope wii-u gets better 3rd party support than wii did.

I'm positive Wii U will have it better then Wii did for third party support. A lot of people are just spinning this "we ignored it because it couldn't run our engines" quote by developers and saying "what happens when 720 and PS4 come out?"

Xbox doesn't sell in Japan so at the very least, Japanese developers won't be going anywhere. Even when the new systems come out they first need to secure their place on the market and there is absolutely no way Xbox will overtake Nintendo in Japan. Japanese publishers tend to see more sales on Nintendo than Xbox (when Nintendo have core gamers). Thats why stuff like Resident Evil, Final Fantasy CC, Harvest Moon, Killer 7, Tales etc all came out for Gamecube and not Xbox.

Why do you talk about Japan like it is the place of all places? By console standards in general none of them sale as well over handhelds. Been pretty clear consoles haven't been anywhere near as successful as handhelds for some time compared to other parts of the world.

My prediction is that regardless people will continue to hate on Wii U even if its specs are were some how top of the line. They'll just move on to some other reason its a failure

Indeed. There's a certain demographic amongst gamers that already have their mind made up about their future purchases. Nothing wrong with that per se (it is a bit shallow, but understandable), but unfortunately, often it turns into bashing of other products simply because they know they never plan on buying it.

Trash something by default, and you don't have worry about accidentally liking it, or having to be decent and cordial toward those who do like it, etc. It's the selfish, angry teenager syndrome sort of thing. I'd like to think that we're better than that, and in the future will show it. But as of now...

wiiu is basically going to be the best system out there with the best games...since nintendo seems to be focus but sony and microsoft will copy it in a year but it will be too late

i really feel nintendo need to use the genesis does marketing for the wiiu against the ps3, xbox 360 and even against the wii......wiiu does what no other systems can do
