Kenji Matsubara said he'd like to bring old and new IPs up to AAA-level quality, including expanding franchises like Fatal Fury into new genres.
Would love to see updates to SNK games to modern day gameplay. Never got to see Samurai Showdown RPG over in the West. Update that to today. Make it bladed action, open world but like SF6 is doing but 2D fighting in an arena when fighting major bosses. I've also always wanted Namco to do an open world Soul Calibur game. Here's hoping they're listening too. It kind of was done with a homebrew game called Art of Fighting South Town in Openbor. Would like to see real games made though.

Update Ninja Masters, Breakers, Last Blade, Shock Troopers, Wind Jammers, Cross Swords, Metal Slug, Top Hunter, etc etc. Would be interesting to see modern takes as long as they are made well.
I'm ready.
Give us updates on those amazing shmups, Last resort, Alpha mission 2, Blazing star, Pulstar, Prehistoric Isle 2, Ghost pilots. The same treatment as Andros dunos received:)
A fatal fury rpg ala soul calibur legends.
Sounds interesting. Especially if they use pixel art take it to the next level.
Yasuyuki Oda isn’t just one of SNK‘s most experienced game designers, he’s the man who arguably more than any other, has spearheaded its recent revival.
I just want Real Bout 3 dammit, is it too much to ask? Do I have to make it myself with M.U.G.E.N. or what?
But then again, I don't think M.U.G.E.N. would allow that "Out of Bounds" mechanic to work very well, if at all...
$199.99 (USD] WTF????
A lot better than $800. But still...
I was getting worried about this release. Glad to see it's still, apparently, set for market!
Only one question, where is The Last Blade and Garou: Mark Of the Wolves? I may still get this handheld regardless but I would be ecstatic to see more games like the above (hell even Samurai Shodown V Special) be announced for later release.
