In Search Of The Best ‘Resident Evil’ Game Of All Time

The Resident Evil remake is incredible. I wish they would re-render the backgrounds at a higher resolution and put it on XBLA.

The remake on the gamecube was great.

However, Resident Evil 2 was always my favorite of the series.

I kinda agree with that, only because I played that game more times than I can count. But, the remake was scary as shit. That's what I'm basing my opinion on. I disagree, but I understand. That game was great.

It has to be REmake. It was Resident Evil perfected. RE0,2,3,Code Veronica are great games but REmake would be my choice. RE4 & RE5 shouldn't count because they're not real RE games.

Resident Evil Remake.
-Best use of pre-rendered backgrounds in a game period.

-The addition of crimson heads and clever layout of old enemies to rattle seasoned Biohazard players.

-Tons of new areas and unlockables compared to previous versions.

-Jill sandwich remixed still manages to pull out a chuckle.

Resident Evil Outbreak deserves an honorable mention for introducing great scenarios (Zombie Zoo anyone?), gameplay allowed much more freedom even compared to Biohazard 3: Nemesis and original online concept which made teamwork so essential.

There is a huge group of people on the Capcom forums that are still clamoring for an HD release of Outbreak 1 and 2. They were good games, just came out in the wrong generation.

not alienware dude, easieest way, if you dont know someone who can build a gaming rig for you is buy a good i7-desktop from bestbuy for like $500-$700 and but a decent gpu in it

but building one could be done for like $700 total and you would be able to nearly max every game

crysis 2, gtaiv with mods, metro2033, day-z, every mmo, bf3 ect!

RE2 on the Dreamcast. Health and ammo on the VMU. Multiple discs that still let you decide who goes first...

RE Code Veronica on the Dreamcast. Same VMU setup + crazy tranny with a rifle= fantastic game.
