Black and White Wii U Launch Colors Confirmed?

A reader of the Nintendo news site, GoNintendo, has released an email conversation that he apparently had with a Nintendo customer service rep. According to the email, the rep confirms that the Wii U will launch in North America in both black and white color varieties.

Soon I can place my original white Nintendo Wii entertainment system in cryostasis sleep and replace it with a superior glossy black Nintendo Wii U entertainment system to match my entertainment center. This is going to be a mighty fine holiday season.

I had no intention of buying the white one. I am glad the black WiiU will be at launch. Now I am 100% sure I will buy a WiiU at launch :)

I am a bit suspicious of this. Nintendo was supposed to release a bunch of different colored Wii's at launch as well, but they didn't want people to not buy one because it wasn't the color they wanted.

I bought a black Wii, but I almost left the store because they only had white ones on the floor. I hope they offer black Wii U's at launch, cause I'd obviously prefer that, but I'm not holding out much hope.

Think I would want a flat finish instead of a glossy finish on the remote. Glossy finish just has a way of showing more of them troublesome scratches. If I do decide to get one it would be black.
