Taiwan Market: Discounts being offered on the biggest flat panel TV's

A number of international leading TV vendors such as Sharp and Panasonic are slashing prices of their LCD TVs by a range of 7-20%, according to today's Chinese-language Economic Daily News (EDN) and Commercial Times.

Taiwan Panasonic recently offered the market's largest TV, a 103-inch PDP TV, with a free 42-inch full HD PDP TV at a price of NT$2 million (US$62,072), while Taiwan Kolin, a long established Taiwan-based maker of LCD TVs and electrical home appliances, recently rolled out a 65-inch full HD LCD TV priced at NT$298,000, according to another Chinese-language Commercial Times report.
