Heavy Rain was one of the most hyped as well as critically received games to be released, regardless of console. The steps it took in both story development and how the game was played may lead to a major change in how games deliver stories.

Sorry but no, hell no. Same thing with Fahreinheit/Indigo Prophecy, this game just have a awful writing. And if you rely your game on story, storytelling, etc...thats not a good thing.
Heavy Rain really is one of my favorite games released this gen. It goes from the really mundane like brushing your teeth to, holy crap this guy is about to murder me in this basement.
Hated this game. After seeing two playthroughs with radically difference choices, I was very surprised to see that basically nothing changed. The story was fun but some plotholes prevent it from being great and instead make it silly and kinda stupid. The twist would've been okay if wasn't handled in such a stupid manner and I just don't think the game is an innovative as people think it is. Sure it took interactive fiction to the mainstream, but point and click adventures have existed before.
