3D Killed the Videogame Star.

Whatever happened to Sonic The Hedgehog?

For anyone who grew up during the 1990’s Sonic, along with everyone’s favourite plumber, stood as a visual representation of the gaming world. Where Mario was plodding along in the Mushroom Kingdom, Sonic was whizzing through Green Hill Zone. He was cool, hip, wise cracking and boy oh boy was he fast, it seemed like nothing could stop this speedy little guy, but something went wrong along the way. (PS3, Retro, Wii, Xbox 360)

Sonic Adventure was just above par. The best 3d Sonic was "Sonic Xtreme" which got cancelled but was circulating around the internet. SEGA screwed themselves for not releasing it. They might still have a console today if it were released.

It's not 3D that killed Sonic. It was bad game design.

The Sonic Adventure games were very fun.

The daytime sections in Sonic Unleashed were brilliant. Just make a game like that without the whole "beat 'em up" part to it and it would be Grade A Sonic.

They did that. It was Sonic Generations which was awesome.

What? Does 3D mean poor, lazy and money hungry Development team where you come from?

Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 Rocked the late 90's and early 2000's and we got a taste of a better sonic with Sonic Generations....

Sonic Adventure 3 where are you?

to me the thing that killed sonic, and made people hate him was sonic06, that game looked like it was sonic adventure 3, but played like a glitchy piece of crap, needless to say me and alot of people were dissapointed.
