What Is Valve Doing With Steam?

Leviathyn.com | Valve has announced some big picture ideas for Steam recently. By now I’m sure most of you have jumped on the Steam bandwagon. It’s convenience and deals make it truly a gamer’s paradise. It became Mac compatible years ago and now modding is easier than ever with Steam’s help. What more could we want?

Not enough, Sony breaking into mainstream cloud gaming, Ouya becoming the first open source console while Valve complains about Windows 8. If they want to stay on top, they need to take the first steps. The Linux push is not a bad idea, but about 3 years too late. I'm all for Valve to succeed, they are gamers who care about gamers.

They are doing well over enough, Steam is for the PC so i do not see how Sony or the Ouya got anything do to with hindering valve. Valve is fine, they know what they are doing.

I just want a new UI with new features. Spruce this thing up, it looks old. It's functional, of course, but I guess I wanna see something more.

Aside from that, add in e-mail support, other chat systems, and a timer for how long you've been playing non-Steam games is all I could really ask that they put in.

In the 7 years I've used Steam the UI has had only one major overhaul.

I prefer Valve focus more on doing what they have always have instead of dicking around with the UI. It shows me they have their priorities straight.

i would never want to stream games.

when im playing a steam game i usually download in the background so with streaming games it would be almost impossible to stream and download at the same time.

one thing i think would be cool for steam to have is a way for your friends to watch you play, it would be awesome and you could see how the games really plays before you buy.

also a video maker, s you could upload your videos to steam/youtube just like you do with SS...
