Sony Patent Outs Potential Move Peripherals, Wii U Style Sharpshooter
We delve into a PS Move peripheral patent that hints at potential Move add-ons that could be coming, or could be left on the drawing board. - PSLS
(Playstation Move, PS3)
The scope concepts would be cool, but I imagine that would be a next gen technology if it ever sees the light of day. I doubt Bluetooth has the necessary bandwidth to be pushing a real-time video feed, even at low resolution.
... Except we already know it can happen this gen. How would it be so much different to take the idea of Remote Play then patch it through the scope?
An OLED scope for the already existing Sharp Shooter would be sweet. Plus low res could be an understatement, but then again why would you need high res for a screen that'd essentially be less than three inches big?
If the scope eyepiece is sized realistically then there is no need for more than about a 200x200 video feed, and bluetooth has more than enough bandwidth for that.
Just looked at the full patent filing. There's a picture of a mouse and keyboard connected to ps3. It's listed there with other peripharals like dualshock/move/camera/handheld . So you might just get your wish.
Theres also some wierd cloud based application with people in different homes in front of camaras..all using different controllers who all appear to be playing the same game together.
Wouldn't doubt if this is something for the PS4, all the consoles will try and lure in families and casuals right from the start. A new version of Move packed right in would make sense.

Seriously, this whole 'Sony copies Nintendo' is totally out of control
There's a screen in the back of the PS3 gun peripheral.
