Rhode Island Takes Control of 38 Studios

According to Bloomsberg, Rhode Island has finally gained ownership of 38 Studios. This fiasco began last year when 38 Studios, makers of Kingdoms of Amalur, moved to Rhode Island from Massachusetts after receiving $75 million in funds from the state of Rhode Island. 38 Studios gave control of their assets and all copyrights to Rhode Island as collateral. After filing for bankruptcy, it was revealed the Amalur studio also owed $30 million to EA, their publishers. (38 Studios, Industry)
