Pitfall! Review (Modojo)

Chris Buffa (Modojo): David Crane's Atari 2600 classic, Pitfall!, is one of the most influential video games in history. Released in 1982, this thrilling title thrust players into an Indiana Jones type experience, as they swung on vines to avoid pits and crocodiles, jumped over snakes and collected gold bricks. Although simplistic by today's standards, it set the foundation for the action adventure and even platform genre. (iPad, iPhone, Pitfall) 4.5/5
