I know some of the people who are familiar with my comments are going to call me out on it, but I'd say Wii U. Not because of Nintendo, mind you, but because I am already used to the name "Wii" and don't really see how adding a U at the end makes it the worst name since NeoGeo.
Wii U just makes me think "stinky" everytime I hear it for some reason lmao. Think this is mainly due to my daughters saying that when she thought something was smelly. XD
"Explain yourself" I did in the first post lol 360 is also slang for turn around or change.
"billy was doing drugs and getting in trouble with the law, he did a 360 and turned his life around and is now doing good.
You are simply cherry picking the meaning you want to display some symbolic talking point downplaying the 360.
People use this saying to express a fresh start for the better. They also use it to show back tracking on a position, belief or action, like you're saying?
180- slang is uses to show change in position or direction
360- slang is used to show return to original position or belief after change *and* to symbolize rebirth or reinvention of self.
One could mix and match meaning, they already do.
You're choosing to use geometry to back what you want to say vs the use of metaphor
I agree though, i didn't really like the name Wii to begin with but Wii U does sound a bit bad. Still getting the Wii U though.
"i" meaning "you." As both brand relate to the individual.
"Wii" meaning "we" or "us" for inclusiveness.
Just like Gameboy was a play on the word "Walkman"
"PlayStation 2"
"PlayStation 3"
"PlayStation Portable"
"Playstation Vita"
"XBox" (a... box)
"Xbox 360" (360º looking. Still a box)
"Nintendo"
"SuperNintendo"
"Nintendo 64"
"GameCube"
"Wii"
Hey! They're at least trying!
You should mention Famicom (family computer)just for reference.
The N64 was named so for being a 64-bit color consoles (in comparison to the 32-bit Saturn and PS).
Xbox has other meanings as in secret, powerful, dangerous, state of the art, unknown, new, bold, great capability.
Xbox 360... Rebirth, complete turn around, change, for the better
Playstation... a place to play, a toy, more catchy than NES
Wii.. Social casual experience unlike anything ever created bringing active gameplay to a engaged group.
Wii U... Nintendo said something at E3 but I wasn't buying it, doesn't make sense.
