Seven reasons why I can't wait to start the fight again with Halo 4

I love Halo. I really, really do. So as you can imagine, when Bungie took off and left their FPS opus behind, I was a little concerned as to how the series would endure in their absence; especially with a largely unproven codehouse in 343 Industries at the helm.

Also to the casual observer who isn’t intimate with all things Halo, its perhaps understandably all too easy to dismiss it based on prejudices centered on the fact that its just another FPS sequel.

Well, it is another FPS sequel, but here are seven reasons why I believe Halo 4 will be the freshest and most relevant entry in the series for a long time...

I wish I did, but it would take the survival of all life on the planet depending on us playing Halo for me to ever care about Halo again.

It was a great game for its time, but it's a relic.

In what way is halo not a great game for modern times? The franchise originated way back, yes, but I feel the developers have more than injected the franchise with fresh innovation and polish for the games to more than enough connect with modern times and wants.

If Halo 4 does really well, it could definitely win GOTY. Looking at games that have been released/will be released, these are the only games (that I have seen/think of) that pose a significant threat to Halo 4 winning GOTY: Borderlands 2, Darksiders 2, Black Ops 2, Hitman: Absolution, Far Cry 3, Assassin's Creed 3, Max Payne 3, Diablo 3, Mass Effect 3, and Sleeping Dogs.

Yes, I probably did miss a few but those are a great batch of games. Halo 4 just needs a well done campaign and multiplayer experience, and it could very well take home the gold (no pun intended)

i don't think halo will ever come close to being GOTY (nor would black ops, hahaha).

it's likely going to be between max payne 3 and assassin's creed III.

What makes you think Halo will never win a GOTY award? Halo 4 looks really promising; this looks to be the most ambitious Halo game yet. 343 is made up of very talented people and so far the game shows that talent. Of course, arguing about this is pointless since Halo 4 isn't even out yet.

Its refreshing to see a positive Halo 4 list. most of the others I've seen usually go along the lines of " 5 Reasons to be worried about Halo 4" or something like that. A very well written article in my opinion.

Vga is cringe-worthy to watch imo, always comes off so unprofessional and feels like none of the people involved in it have any respect for the industry.

We really need a new world wide video game award ceremony that does it better.

I'm mainly excited cause Reach disappointed me, and I've been a halo fan since day one, I just didn't like Halo Bloomfest edition. So here's hoping this game feels more like classic Halo, certainly looks that way so far.
