Importers warn Japan's Super Smash Bros. Brawl Scarcity is Real

The Japanese launch of the rabidly anticipated Super Smash Bros. Brawl must've snuck up on publisher Nintendo, according to North American importers. Game|Life passes on word from online retailers National Console Support and Play-Asia that the rumored SSBB shortage is looking very real, with only 15-25% of pre-orders expected to be filled immediately by the two retailers. The wait for others may creep into the second half of February.

The story is too old to be commented.

Nintendo and their shortages.....

These shortages are getting ridiculous.

Hardware I completely understand, but software is just a matter of burning discs and printing covers!

Anyhow, hoping for the best in this.

Well - i don't understand hardware. It's not complicated to make.

it`s better for them to be sold out, then having consoles/software available.

if Nintendo will create enough HW/SW, developers will understand, that that momentum is only syntethic and made by Nintendo.
they need as many 3rd party developers to start developing games for wii, as long as they can hold "momentum".

There are a posibility, that after reaching 22-24 mln. wii will fad.
Also, SSBB making 1-1,5 mln. in first 2-6 weeks(not less(well unless shortages) and no more).

THIS IS ONE OF THE REASONS WHY I HAVENT PURCHASED A WII,COME THE **** ON,SOFTWARE SHORTAGES?DID THEY RUN OUT OF CD BURNERS?

IF NINTENDO EVER EXPECT TO GET ANY OF MY MONEY THIS GEN,THEN THEY NEED TO QUIT ALL THIS NONSENSE WITH SHORTAGES.

Lay off the CAPSLOCK man..

also they don't burn original disks.. they stamp em.. different process however its faster so yeah i agree with the shortages part.
