Not at all. Awesome RPGs that deserve a collection. They're like Dark Cloud - really good games that never sold as well as they should have.

The problem with HD Collections replacing B/C is that they'll -never- begin to approach even 1% of the fantastic PS2 games that need to be playable for posterity.

With JRPGs alone, we've got....

...And that's just the top of the the pile. Expand to other genres--to games like Ace Combat, Legacy of Kain, Fatal Frame...

Jesus ****ing Christ the list goes on and on. When Sony got rid of b/c, they screwed EVERYONE over and unless they actually start trying to repair the damage with HD ports and PS2 classics (which up till now they've treated as an afterthought at best)....

Some under rated games on os2 deserve hd collection but most likely wont get

So is that to say that you wouldn't buy these HD collections if they were on the PS4, instead?

Also, keep in mind that "Sony" can really only release the games they have publishing rights to. If they don't posses those rights, they can't release the corresponding HD collection. The Final Fantasies, for example, are up to Square; SQUARE must release them, not Sony.

Right, which is why the article mentions Square Enix is already developing the HD remake of Final Fantasy X. Sony should work with SE to make it happen. Stranger things have happened.

Also - a PS4 collection would be great, but that's not an ideal situation. Releasing them on the PS4 would mean paying more for the collection and longer waits while development teams configure the games to the new console.
