IGN - Uncharted 3's Tournament Mode, New DLC

IGN - Been looking for a reason to get back into Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception multiplayer? Developer Naughty Dog is giving you more than 140 reasons to do it.

Today, patch 1.13 arrives for the multiplayer mode for IGN's PS3 Game of the Year 2011. It brings a number of additions -- a new mode, 137 pieces of downloadable content, and 50 Trophies -- and we were lucky enough to talk to developer Naughty Dog's Robert Cogburn about them. (PS3, Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception)

"Been looking for a reason to get back into Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception multiplayer?"

no, but i've been looking for a reason to get back into uncharted 3's *singleplayer*...

I tried playing it again after the patch and I just didn't enjoy myself like I did with UC2. I've tried a bunch of times, but for some reason I just end up yelling at my TV out of frustration. I can only get killed from blindfire by a guy 15 feet away from me so many times before getting upset.

you can't expect to own if you just started the game, how do you think the people that actually PLAY the Multiplayer would feel if they get killed by a newbie?
If you get killed by blindfire you should take that to your advantage, make a trap, everything is possible, just do it.. I really can't see why people would like U2 M+ more than U3, its different and overall its way more fun.

I guess you're right there. But I did play UC3 MP for a good amount of time when it first came out, and was pretty good until some of the weapons became overpowered. I would get killed by the Kal7 then the Falm, then the Gmal. I don't remember there being problems with weapons being too op in UC2. I was really good in UC2, but UC3 feels like an entire different game though. But I guess maybe that's how they wanted it to feel.

The thing that I see is, that a lot of people tend to play with a mid-long range weapon in..lets say Yemen, I also would go with a kal in the small corridors, but in the open area, you CANT get killed by a kal unless your way too close to the enemy.
The weapon balancing is pretty good right now. The Gmal is REALLY powerfull, in the right hands, but even though, with the right tactic and the right weapon, the gmal is easy.

BUT HEY, I totaly understand if you like U2 better. I LOVE that game, and from time to time I like to go back to play some Multiplayer there, its really refreshing!
BUT, its just not so much fun, I get bored very quickly there, its just not enough to keep it alive for so long
