Is Ouya a gaming middle ground?

Gamertag Radio writes: "With all this hype and attention focused on the Ouya project, I see a larger series of questions raised besides “can they deliver?”. Yes, many gamers would love to see not only games but the platforms they operate on to be cheaper. We want to be able to experience more for less. We also, in general, want developers to have the freedom to explore their creativity and provide us with new content. But ultimately, how much change do we really want?" That's a great way to put it actually. I've always tried to define Ouya as concisely as possibly. A gaming middle ground just about sums it up.
