Ex-THQ president Danny Bilson “bummed that inSane was killed”
Ex-THQ president Danny Bilson is bummed at THQ’s decision to shaft inSane, saying that it was a blast working alongside Guillermo Del Toro.

Cuts had to be made this was probably too much of a risk for THQ so i cant blame them for the decision, games like South park, homefront 2,Metro last light are either sequels or have big appeal. Lets just hope Insane gets sold off to a different publisher.
Well the game was probably on a tight deadline, if it comes out after the official announcements of the next round of consoles, it'll get buried. A lot of games will probably get buried late next year due to new consoles.
That game seemed to be rather expensive, so it makes sense from a financial standpoint to cancel it. Shouldn't have started it until new consoles were out.
Working? You announced a trilogy, and from what is known thus far the first game was barely in pre-production. Announced almost two years ago and nothing to show for it. It was yet another horrible business decision made by Bilson.
I'm worried that THQ won't be around next gen. A new generation of consoles often means the demise of financially troubled publishers. PS2/GC/Xbox killed off Acclaim, PS3/Wii/X360 killed Midway, and I fear the next one will kill THQ, which is sad considering some of their games are really fun, even if they suffer from some bugs or subpar production values. Saints Row, Red Faction, Darksiders and even Homefront were really enjoyable to me, despite their shortcomings.
And, I for one believe Bilson had a lot of good ideas for THQ. While his business plan was off, it felt like he cared about gamers. We often blame people like Kotick for caring about the bottom line only, and yet I see people blaming Bilson for doing the opposite now.
