In this latest iteration of GTA you get to play as Niko Bellic, an immigrant that comes to the city that resembles the New York / New Jersey area. Things will seem familiar but they are definitely different. One of the key things to take note here is the way Rockstar immerses you into the world of GTA. One thing that impressed me with Niko was how as a player we could relate to him. We're new to the city as he is, we have no idea of the folk in town, and we don't know where to get a good stiff drink from. We need to learn these important things. With Niko being an immigrant it makes it easy for you to look at the game through his eyes. It also allows us to play the story learning at the same pace as Niko and the game has a great technique of doing this. So much so, I was very impressed by the story telling in GTA IV.
