Black Ops 2 "Will Change How You Think" About Multiplayer

We've not heard an awful lot about Call of Duty: Black Ops 2's multiplayer, but it's safe to say that they'll be rather comprehensive. Treyarch certainly seems to think so - the studio is boasting that its competitive modes, due to be formally announced tomorrow, "will forever change how you think about winning or losing." Ooh.

You can always tell if someone is under-age, as they'll prefer the Infinity Ward COD games. You're right, Treyarch's COD is better in every way.

CoD4 was good, but I much prefered W@W over MW1. Treyarch seem to actually take what IW did with the previous title and at least TRY to improve/innovate on it. Where as IW has this God Complex, where they think everything they touch is gold and they don't need help from anyone else.

It's kind of obvious, the last three games had the same thing said about them. yet failed to improve.

@TheOne I don't see how it's obvious. If it did not have call of duty in the name I'm sure that people would think this game could be the best fps to date commercially and critically.

I been there I fell ya, but for a lone wolf like myself I don't rush in like most players do in TDM, unless I am in a clan. Learn the maps and know where the others team respawn, but if thing didn't work out rage quit. find a better lobby.

The problem with your strategy is that i always play the single player 1st and never touch the multiplayer until i'm done with it. That could take 2 weeks or a month if i'm busy with work.

By then, everyone has already ranked up so high and are trained assassins that by the time i step in everyone goes after the rookie, which is usually me... And if i play with a team i often get kicked out.
Not to say i don't get any kills but it's usually in the single digits while everyone else is in the double digits. I think one time or another i got as high as 8...that's the routine pretty much for every fps i play which takes the fun out of multiplayer if there is any to be had.

I pretty much rely on spec ops missions and single player which is why anything multiplayer is not a huge selling point for me.

yes 4 is still the best but people always forget cod4 was definitely not the most balanced. i.e. fragx3, martyrdom, juggernaut, mp5 silencer, ak47 no attachments, m16, and stopping power. i think black ops was the most balanced besides the famas.

Hopefully they will surprise me and get me all teary eyed when I watch the multiplayer reveal. lol. But seriously I want to be truly excited. Last year I was waiting to see the MW3 multiplayer reveal trailer and when I saw it I though it looks ok, but no butterflies in the stomach.

when i saw it leaked to the web i could have sworn it was a fake and i hoped it was too. the video looked unprofessionally done (imo) and it didn't excite me as much as the mp trailer for mw2 and bops did.
