Wii U GamePad Needs An Adjustment Period But Is “Actually Very Comfortable"

Madden NFL 13 producer Yuri Bialoskursky was asked to describe the comfort level of the Wii U GamePad. Bialoskursky claims that, compared to traditional video game controllers, the Wii U GamePad is huge but gamers will get used to it, after playing with it for a while. According to Bialoskursky, the Wii U GamePad is not awkward to hold, doesn’t detract from gameplay, and “is actually very comfortable.” (EA, Industry, Madden NFL 13, Wii U)

The Nintendo Wii U entertainment system gamepad comfort level and functionality look to shape the future in how we enjoy our hobby. After being blessed by a 10 minute video of the Nintendo gamepad innovative spin on Mass Effect 3, the Nintendo Wii U entertainment system is for sure a day one purchase for me and millions more of the Nintendo Elite fanbase.

Every new generation of Nintendo platform excellence brings the consumer a new comfortable controller. Each and every controller so far in the history of the Nintendo platform has brought something new to the gaming spectrum. Comfort has never been left out of the picture. And for that I salute Nintendo, and its hard working talented employees for their efforts. Lord Miyamoto master and savior of gaming innovations should be very pleased.

Have a blessed day and happy gaming.

Rated E for everyone

Just because Kaos isn't screaming at the top of his lungs that Nintendo sucks it doesn't mean he is being paid. Some of us, who have an open mind, are actually positive on what Nintendo is trying to do and hope they succeed.

@ cleft5

He doesn't have to be screaming at the top of his lungs that Nintendo sucks. I never implied that he should, but certain things were OTT like "Nintendo ELITE fanbase" and "Lord Miyamoto master and saviour of gaming innovations".

I definitely agree. Sometimes quality can't be measured with quantity at the outset, but shows up in the long run.

I hope they show something other than Unreal Engine.

I will judge for myself when I get my hands on it. It certainly looks a mess but hey I've not played it yet. I'll decide if I like it when I get to use it but thanks for your view Mr. Bialoskursky.

"Get use to it"

Of course you'll get use to it.

Anything is comfortable once you get use to it. Look at the DS3 for example.

But just because you get use to it and it's comfortable, doesn't mean it's ergonomic.

It looks big and bulky but I guess I have to try it out first before I can judge the ergonomics of it.

But so far im not convinced.

Every single hands on report has been positive. Honestly this is one of the more negative reviews I've heard, most people haven't even had to adjust.

Enough reports have came back stating that its confortable, i have yet to read one bad report about the controllers ergonomics.
Cant wait to get my hands on it myself to give it a try

It looks pretty comfortable to me, but I'll probably use the Pro Controller for a lot of my gaming on the Wii U anyway.
