If it is, its more of how its become in recent years. There was no dungeon/raid finder, or guild lvling in WoW originally. Lately with WoW, they've tried to "streamline" things and make them easier for the player, dumbing down pretty much everything.
As a gamer i support gaming..but if you r into MMO's then you tend to loose lot of your time on virtual worlds instead of living in real world and doing meaningful stuff which makes you slightly smarter...
