When I first previewed Cats Away back in June I was fairly surprised by it. I mean, here was this game that essentially came out of nowhere to combine Katamari Damacy-like “pick up stuff to pick up even bigger stuff” mechanic, fused with something akin to one of those quarter-munching prize claw machines and hordes of cats. But that was just over a month ago, and an earlier build no less. So does the finished product live up to unexpected expectations of awesomeness? Yes. Yes it does.

Touch Arcade: For the longest time, I had trouble understanding the phrase 'vomit rainbows'. Often used in conjunction with toxic-looking, multi-tiered cakes, it felt like a weird way to frame appreciation. But after playing Cats Away [$0.99], however, I now understand. ZigZaGame's newly released iOS title kinda makes me want to regurgitate a colorful natural phenomenon.
Casual arcade games are a sort of secret obsession of mine. With as many as there are in the AppStore, it’s really no wonder a lot of gamers are looking for more when it comes to their app purchases, but when it comes to score-chasing casual arcade titles, especially games with combo and multiplier systems, I just eat that stuff up, and love every minute of it. NNT + ZigZaGame’s new title, Cats Away, is the most recent little addiction of mine, already sucking away at least 5 hours of my spare time.
