Project CARS - New Gorgeous Community Screenshots

DSOGaming writes: "Slightly Mad Studios has released some new, gorgeous looking community screenshots for its upcoming racer, Project CARS. What’s important here is that – for the first time – we get to see the destructibility model for various cars, as well as the rain spray effects." (PC, Project CARS, PS3, Wii U, Xbox 360)

Any confirmation on destructible cars?

I agree. I'm sure there is destruction but I hope it's not the occasional body panel that falls off. It would be nice if it were detailed.

YES!

The physics involved in the crashes is crazy nice especially in first person view.

If the AI is as good as the gameplay looks then I'm gonna have to upgrade my PC for this game. It looks stunning. Gameplay footage looks pretty much like these stills.

That's some wild graphics, surely my GTX560 Ti wouldn't handle these textures on Ultra settings, but I just bought it :(

I have not been a pc gamer in years but consoles just stagnate for too long. I now like having the flexibility of being able to upgrade to a level that I can afford.

Yes its more expensive over time than console gaming but a pc is more than just gaming.

You'd be surprised. Visuals like these aren't as demanding as a lot of other games.

Car/racing games have always had the best visuals, there's less to be rendered out each level so it can run on mid range set ups and still look great.

Also being a PC gamer you should know games have adjustable settings so in theory it can be played by hundreds of different set ups.

@CommonSenseGamer

I am just at my last step to start my PC gaming, 1 more thing to buy for it, for it to work properly, I was playing on PS3 before, but I understood that for no longer I can afford paying that high price for games, which have washed out textures and bad frame-rates, I can just but PC and get games for low prices or be a pirate.

PS3 and Xbox 360 console days have ended a long time ago, but Sony and Microsoft are still squeezing the last juice out of their customers, and avoiding investing money into new console development, and waiting ob each other to announce a console for theirs to be better.

Gaming these days is based on consoles, I have no problem with that if I am a PC user, as I get the best for lowest resources, but as a console player I get choppy image and bad frame-rates, because available resources are too low for successful game engine and graphics engine combination, for it to play on high resolution with good anti aliasing, if they were to only make it look good, it would be just a Full-HD Anti aliased piece of shit. They have to chop off visual resources to get resources for good game engine.

If they were to have more resources, we would have such amazing games... I'd say just bring the new console generation, the faster, the better, the beginning is always slow and painful, until game developers get to know the console better.

Now if we can just get AI that drives like people and makes mistakes then it will seem like real races. Seems like when playing GT5 and Forza the AI never makes any mistakes, it's like they drive on rails(like the cars on Jurassic Park)

Do you have to pay to try the build?
STIKUP ARTIST  +   808d ago
Yes. 13 us dollors is the cheapest, you get monthly builds.
Nexgensensation  +   807d ago
Hmmm?
Now I wonder if this game going to be the full package or if its one of those lazy car racers with no type of dept in the game's main mode.
