Very impressive! If this is real then ME3 on WiiU Will be the best looking console version.

I guess there is a reason no one is in here giving opinions. Is 2 screen gaming really going to appeal to the masses? Is that 2nd screen an obstacle, distraction or an advantage?

Holding up a tablet in the air for hours is a disastrous concept(keeping both sources of input in sync with out always looking up and down).
Although in theory having a high tech gadget with extra info would fit this game's concept and design, taking your eyes and attention away from the main screen to look at a 2nd screen to see info that needs to be on the main screen to be practical in the first place makes no sense.

I don't see how this console can be marketed as the tablet being the selling point. Casuals like soccer moms, kids and the elderly were drawn in by the easy simply pick up and play wavy stick.

This console makes the most sense with this game(ME3) but anything other than a turnbase or hybrid turnbase RPG would make what I said an understatement in most traditional cases.

I've played all Mass Effects around 10 times each. If I didn't know any better even by these online pics the Wii U graphics are much sharper. Better textures and resolution? Cleaner overall look with different lighting although I can't tell if better.

Give me a pro controller and a price cut and Ill play the best console version on the Wii U, again.

I see someone saw something positive about Wii U and just had to come grasp at straws in order to trash it...

Nobody said you had to point the Wii u controller at the TV for hours. Honestly that is just silly of you to claim.

You cant even grasp how it works so its easy to see why you cant understand how it would be marketed.

You are acting like the second screen is so important it must be viewed at the same time as the TV.Now really, how smart is that? Did you constantly go from the map screen to the play screen when playing a dungeon in an RPG? No. Do you constantly look at your inventory every 30 seconds? NO of course not so why try to act like it'll be that way with Wii U

I sit at my PC and watch TV while I game. I turn my head 90 degrees from the screen. I dont instantly die from doing so.

Please use just a bit of common sense. If you cant fathom it its probably best to not even comment.

I figured most would hold the tablet controller as I hold a traditional contoller: kind of resting in my lap.

I guess not everybody thought of that eh?

;)

greenpowerz1905d ago (Edited 1905d ago )

Nope Just noticed it looks better than the 360 version. Seen the pic of the tablet and reminded me how Nintendo is taking a GameCube-like risk. That's it. No conspiracy theories LOL

Won't be using the tablet. Is this OK by you?

:)

@Moby-Royale

I agree most will resort to holding it in their lap and in traditional games(non RPG turnbase hybrid) it will become a
distraction and even frustrating.

When engaged in a game no one wants to take their attention away from the TV screen to look at a 5" screen on their lap to get info that makes more sense to be on the TV in the first place.

Devs will have to reinvent the wheel on this console and Nintendo has provided not stone but molten rock.

Looks on par to me with the 360 and PS3 versions. I also have to admit that playing and also having the ability to just look down at your 2nd screen for a brief moment to view the map or other menu options without having to hit start is a positive in my book. Access to more information instantaneously without leaving the main screen seems like a great advantage and a step in the right direction to enhance gaming.

Look at what Sony is doing with the Vita and it's capabilities. Look what MS is doing with Glass as well with the 360. The industry is moving forward and access to more information at any given second without leaving the main screen in which your game is being played on.

I like how the big 3 are all coming up with ways to use multimedia sources to do their best and move gaming forward. Without trying new things, we would be still playing 8 bit games with a single joystick and a single red button.

greenpowerz1905d ago (Edited 1905d ago )

You can play ME in so many ways. A pause player' may agree with you on the 2nd screen but out of the 40 to 50 full and incomplete play throughs I've never played the game(s) as a traditional RPG.

Too me it looks cleaner but the lighting is off? Dull or weaker contrast.

2012 version of this http://en.wikipedia.org/wik... Got this console the day it came out and thought this controller design was stupid as heck and it distracted me. Nintendo has came out with an advanced version of the same thing IMO. Will be just as annoying.

Lvl_up_gamer1905d ago

Ya that's a good point if you play the game multiple play through's.

To each their own and there is no wrong way to play a game you enjoy regarless of what tools are given to you.

As long as it comes down to available options for the user to play the game the way he or she wants to play it then it's all good.

Man still trolling and grasping. The VMU is not an early Wii u. That is like saying the PS3 is nothing but an updated 2600. Now while in some ways that may be true the PS3 can do so much more than the 2600. Most people would laugh and call you an idiot for even making such a comparison.

Were you able to transfer your game to the VMU from the TV with a click of a button?
Could you use the VMU to actually control the game? No.

My guess is you never actually owned the dreamcast, you just saw someone else post it and are giving it credit without actually knowing what it really did.

Kinda goes back to my earlier post of you not understanding what the Wii U is.

Actually I have a feeling that both of those accounts are you. Stealth trolls like to do that. Especially when the guy claims a next gen console is on par with current gen yet every developer interviewed has said the exact opposite

HeavenlySnipes1905d ago

Don't have the game for PS3 or 360 (yet) but the screens look good I guess. Its a port though so no one should expect much I guess.

Lvl_up_gamer1905d ago (Edited 1905d ago )

Looks good to me, but since the Wii-U is basically a 360/PS3 it only makes sense that ME3 on the Wii-U is similar to the 360/PS3 versions.

yabhero1905d ago

Who told you WiiU was basically a 360/PS3?
a PS3/360 fanboy?
According to digital foundry this version runs at 60 FPS...

LOL_WUT1905d ago

I expected it to look better, but it looks exactly the same as the other versions. I don't see what all the hype is about.

Gemmol1905d ago

it looks a little sharper, if you looking for big graphics just wait a little, when the 360 and ps3 came out it had ports of ps2 games with slight improvements, eventually games will improve, this a first gen game, plus people buy systems because of future release, because we all know in the begining it will be ports, just like for the next 2 or 3 years games on the xbox next n ps4 will be ports from ps3 and 360 because developers do not want to waste money on a system with a smaller base
