Ouya CEO Julie Uhrman believes Ouya is “challenging the status quo” - exclusive interview

"Earlier this week, darkzero was able to obtain an exclusive interview with the CEO of Ouya, Julie Uhrman. We see the Ouya as a system with quite a bit of potential, and Julie's comments about the system reveal that not only is her company aiming to revolutionize the market, she wants to challenge the established hierarchy of gaming. Yes, that means you, Sony, Nintendo, and Microsoft." (Dev, Final Fantasy III - OUYA, Google, Industry, Julie Uhrman, Next-Gen, Ouya, PS3, Wii, Xbox 360)

Interestingly enough, some people are willing to try new things.

I already have an android tablet and phone thank you. Nothing I see with Ouya tells me its something "New". All I see is another tablet / phone but this can be hooked up to a TV.

if this fool think that a litle box that's no better than a mid-range cell phone can compete with sony/ms/nintendo, she has another thing coming.

and once the hackers get their hands on it, they're going to ruin it for everyone or do nothing but make s****y emulators for s****y 30-40 year old games.

If you think this is supposed to directly compete with consoles, I'd say you were mistaken.

This seems like an android powered do-it-all kind of box. A htpc functioning, internet browsing, youtube machine hooked up to your TV at up to 1080p...

...and it plays games. If you game exclusively, buy something designed for it.

i have games on my iphone like infinity blade 1 and 2, dead trigger, epic citadel, shadowgun that look literally BETTER than 95% of all console games.

Absolutely.

It will look nice right next to my 360 & PS3.

yep looking forward to this infinitely more than the next 360/PS3 or Wii. Indy devs are doing fresh interesting stuff - not just making the same AAA game over and over and over again.

Doesn't automatically make it a good idea or something.

cant wait to see what's gonna happen when it releases and if it gets proper support and great games, i might have to buy it :D good thing is that its cheaper than any console right now!

Until they disappear with all that money they raised XD which has happened before in the kickstarter scene.

I don't get the hype the media is giving to this thing,we've yet to see anything solid other than concept videos from this magical box.
